VIOSENSE eyewear operates by interacting with the polarized light emitted by digital displays. Most modern computer displays, laptops, smartphones, and televisions emit linear or circular polarized light, making them fully compatible.
Supported Devices
Computer Screens & Monitors
Virtually all desktop monitors with LCD, LED, IPS, VA, and TN panels emit polarized light and provide an outstanding experience. This includes brands such as Dell, LG, Samsung, ASUS, Acer, BenQ, and ViewSonic.
Apple Products
MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, iPad, and iPhone displays emit polarized light and work seamlessly with VIOSENSE lenses.
Smartphones & Tablets
Modern smartphones and Android tablets (including Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, etc.) are compatible. Note: Rotating a smartphone 90 degrees from portrait to landscape can alter the polarization angle.
Television Displays
LED, QLED, and LCD televisions emit polarized light and are fully supported.
Virtual Reality Headsets
VR headsets utilizing LCD micro-displays (such as Meta Quest 2 / Quest 3) emit polarized light and are compatible.
Incompatible Displays
VIOSENSE glasses do not work with displays that do not emit polarized light:
- E-ink Displays: Amazon Kindle and other reflective e-readers.
- Plasma Televisions: Older plasma TVs emit unpolarized light.
- Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT): Vintage tube displays and arcade monitors.
- Projectors: Cinema and home theater projection screens.
How to Test Your Screen
To verify if your screen emits polarized light: put on any pair of polarized sunglasses or your VIOSENSE glasses and look at your screen. Slowly tilt your head side to side from 0 to 90 degrees. If the brightness or color changes as you tilt your head, your screen emits polarized light and is 100% compatible!
